Cynthia Chaillie leads workshops for Hershey|Cause, specializing in hands-on training sessions for the highly acclaimed “Communications Toolkit: A guide to navigating communications for the nonprofit world.”

As a popular instructor and speaker, Cynthia Chaillie also shares her passion for communications with marketing and fund-raising students at UCLA Extension, and through speaking engagements with such corporations and trade associations as Bank of America, the American Marketing Association, Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Leading the fundraising communications program at the University of California, Los Angeles, Ms. Chaillie contributed to the record-setting achievement of $3.05 billion in private giving at the campaign’s close – the most ambitious philanthropic effort undertaken by a public university. Applying corporate marketing expertise to a top-tier research institution, she has been recognized through numerous awards of excellence for her innovative approach to non-profit communications.

Prior to joining UCLA, Ms. Chaillie led marketing and branding initiatives for Mattel, Inc., Sage Publications, Inc. and Merritt Publishing, spearheading the launch of two national divisions and a successful corporate acquisition. Agency work has included Burson-Marsteller Public Relations, where she supervised accounts such as AT&T, Pillsbury and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
