Lotta Elisabet Rao

Lotta E. Rao directs strategic communications projects and advises on online and social network initiatives for Hershey Cause. Lotta is currently working with First 5 Riverside to create parental awareness of the mental health needs of young kids in Riverside County. She is also working on strategic communications with Shoes That Fit, communication materials and web site redesign with Emerging Markets, branding with UCLA FOCUS and the website launch for the Center for Nonprofit Management's 2 Minute Answer Guide.
Lotta is experienced in developing creative brand experiences and consistent communication strategies at a variety of organizations in Europe and the United States, including UNESCO's (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) NetAid project. She has previously founded a writing and creative arts program for juveniles incarcerated as adults and coordinated international events, including the XIV Congress of Archives in Seville, Spain, and the 14th World Congress of Criminology in Philadelphia. Lotta's published articles have appeared in a number of online forums and the United States Government commissioned her translation work.
Lotta graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida and Paul Valery University in Montpelier, France, with a B.S. in psychology and a B.A. in French. She received her M.A. in Intercultural Management with a specialization in Conflict Transformation from the School for International Training in Vermont. She is a certified yoga teacher and local food enthusiast.
