Lelia oversees all media planning and buying services for Hershey|Cause. She comes to this position with over 25 years of experience in mainstream and multicultural communications and has supervised and executed buys for a variety of clients including Wells Fargo, Heineken, American Honda, Lincoln-Mercury, Microsoft and Motorola.
With experience in managing all aspects of client services, media, production and creative for a diverse range of clients, Leila has been instrumental in guiding the media planning efforts for First 5 LA. Here she used her expertise to leverage the existing ad buy to create co-op advertising efforts as well as media partnerships with both mainstream and ethnic media. The result was she more than quadrupled the size of the buy, securing additional TV and radio spots, print ads and special events/promotions.
Leila has spearheaded media efforts for over 30 clients targeting multicultural consumer market segments both nationally and internationally, and billing over $35 MM in multicultural media — from broadcast (TV, cable and radio), magazines, newspapers, Internet, outdoor, and direct response, direct mail, to product placement.
A pioneer in the creation and development of the U.S. Hispanic advertising industry as it exists today, Leila is a seasoned professional who ran her own multicultural marketing and advertising firm in Los Angeles. Raised in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, Leila speaks five languages.
