Report on Social Impact Games

John S. and James L. Knight Foundation


When the Knight Foundation decided to evaluate two social impact games in Biloxi, MS, and Macon, GA, they wanted to make sure that communicating the results was part of the evaluation from the start, so they approached Hershey Cause Communications for help planning the communication strategy.


Our experience in informing and encouraging public conversation was put to use in developing innovative methods of describing and explaining the evaluation findings and sharing these learnings. We developed compelling visual materials to tell the story, humanized the work by leveraging real people, translated the findings to meet the needs of specific target audiences, balanced online and offline dissemination, engaged in strategic media relations and created materials that could be adapted for multiple audiences.
